The Misled was formed in 1987, in the western suburbs of Chicago by Bill Thomas, Matt Robison and Linda Wininger. Steve Leapley came soon after.

We played all over the Chicago area and Wisconsin. In 1993, Matt Robison lost his battle with leukemia and the band came to a premature end. However, we never felt that it ended properly, on our terms. In 2019, now living in Portland, OR, Bill built a studio in his basement, and after talking it through with Steve and Linda, decided it was time to record the songs properly for a real release. What you have here is the first part of that dream being realized.

There isn't a day that goes by that we don't think about Matt, and the his loss.
